Week 18 - Colmena - The Office - September 29, 2025

What is up everyone!

Alright, so my last email was on Wednesday. Two of the days since then we got sick again. Lets just say I'm sick of being sick. So anyways I'm only going to talk about the two days that anything actually happened.
Thursday
I did exchanges with my district leader. It was super fun. It's interesting to see how much more willing people are to listen to us in different parts of the mission. Every single person we stopped actually talked to us and gave us their number. EVERY PERSON. So I'm really just in awe at how hard it is in my area. We also talked with this recent convert from the district leader's area that was super excited to find out I like pickle ball because apparently he loves pickle ball. I'm actually so sad that I won't be able to play with him.
Sunday
I was dying on Sunday. Super dizzy, congested, headache. It was the worst. I really don't know what's up with me. So basically after church we went home and I zonked. I woke up still feeling bad but definitely much better and we did a bunch of phone work. Eventually we finished up and about 2 minutes later we got a call from President Wallis. I knew exactly what it was for. Elder Hickey answered and immediately President goes, "Is Elder Robinson there?". Yep, I was in trouble... No just kidding. Transfers are coming up and he was calling to tell me that he'd like me to serve in the offices. Now this isn't a surprise because the secretaries and every other missionary I ever talked to have been telling me ever since I got here that I would be in the offices after my training. Not sure why. So I'm finishing my training and then going straight back into more training in the office.

So what is my job? I actually don't really know. I'm going to be the executive secretary. I will be in charge of getting missionaries through immigration, buying airplane tickets for missionaries going home, helping missionaries get to the airport, buying food for any meetings, and buying Ubers for missionaries, and who even knows what else. So basically I'm going to be busy all the time. I also have to get Spanish figured out fast because I need to be able to communicate with not only the whole mission but also government people at immigration ðŸ˜¬. Pray for me.

Get ready for more office quotes in the coming weeks.

Also mom (and anyone else who cares) I put pictures of my house in my google photos, but some of them are old so they're going to be closer to the bottom of my photos.
Our front room where we have our desks set up.
Our kitchen
A second bedroom upstairs that we use as our closet.
A bedroom on our main floor that we use as an extension of our kitchen.
One of our bathrooms. We turned the broken shower into our laundry area.
A bonus area upstairs. The door is from our broken bathroom.
Our bedroom.
Anyways that's all!

Love you all!
