Week 35 - Mexico City - The Office Season 3 Ep 6 - January 26, 2026
Hey everyone!
I hope you're all doing well! I'm actually writing my email early today! I hit 8 months in the mission today! Super crazy! Anyways lets get on to the week.
Tuesday and Wednesday I just went to the airport and hung out with the missionaries going home. It was super chill.
Thursday we just did office work all day
Friday we had interviews with President. Our interviews started at 2 and were supposed to be done at 2:30... We showed up at 1:30 and didn't leave until 7:40! But it's fine because it means president is taking his time with the missionaries to see how he can help them. Mine was like 5 minutes though
, I think he was trying to hurry up the interviews at the end because he had a meeting to go to.
, I think he was trying to hurry up the interviews at the end because he had a meeting to go to.Saturday we did office work in the morning and went street contacting after lunch. We didn't really find anyone that was interested, but that's okay!
Sunday we had no one show up to church until half way through church when Esteban walks in, out of breath and sweating. And then right after that a new friend that came from an online reference walked in too! After church we asked Esteban what happened and, uh, he went to play Pokรฉmon Go in the morning before church and lost track of time and then realized what time it was and ran all the to the church. He's awesome!
Today we just made another airport run to take another missionary home.
Today's spiritual thought comes from this talk:
It's from President Holland's son Mathew S Holland. In the talk he mentions that at the time that the Book of Mormon was being written it was not really being used as a book of scripture for them. They were not reading the book. Furthermore when Mormon received the book, he carefully abridged it, choosing scriptures that would be specifically helpful to us in our day.
This book was literally written for US. How cool is that? He also extended an invitation to read it with all of that in mind. When we read it, think to ourselves, "What is this supposed to teach US", "Why did Mormon include this scripture for US", "In what way was this scripture meant to help US". When we keep in mind that this book was written specifically for our day it makes our experience reading it so much more meaningful.
Picture time... I have none, but take a look at the Google photos!
Love you all!
